CultureGro™ Human GM-CSF

CultureGro™ Human GM-CSF

GM-CSF, a hematopoietic growth factor, plays a role in stimulating the development of neutrophils and macrophages while also supporting the proliferation and maturation of early erythroid, megakaryocytic, and eosinophilic progenitor cells. It’s primarily produced in endothelial cells, monocytes, fibroblasts, and T-lymphocytes. GM-CSF has the additional effect of inhibiting neutrophil migration and boosting the functional activity of mature end cells. Unlike G-CSF, GM-CSF molecules are species-specific with no cross-reactivity between Human and murine versions. Recombinant Human GM-CSF is a 14.6 kDa globular protein comprising 128 amino acids, featuring two intramolecular disulfide bonds and two potential N-linked glycosylation sites.
