SmartMCs P1 Microcarrier for Cell Culture

A fully defined synthetic surface for cell types that need consistency. P1 is not dissolvable, built instead for stable, repeatable culture and standard harvest workflows.

Product Details

P1 synthetic microcarriers are made from a fully defined synthetic polymer, giving a controlled and consistent surface for cell attachment. Unlike X1 and P2, P1 is not dissolvable and is suited to processes where a stable, non-degradable carrier is preferred.

The surface is positively charged to support cell attachment and can be coated by the user with extracellular matrix proteins or other treatments depending on the application. P1 has a broader particle size distribution than X1 or P2.

In evaluations using HEK293T cells, P1 showed greater than 85% cell attachment within 24 hours, expansion of approximately 8-fold over 3 days, cell densities reaching approximately 1 × 10 cells/mL, and post-harvest viability exceeding 95%.
